Privacy
HomeRoomHUB is designed around student and family data protection, data minimization, relationship-based visibility, district governance, and accountable access.
Student data protection philosophy
Student data is treated as governed, sensitive information. Visibility should follow need-to-know access, the signed-in role and scope, and the relationships that authorize a person to see a record.
Family and school data
Guardians see information connected to their own students. Communication and notification preferences stay under family and school control.
Data minimization and role-based visibility
The platform direction is to collect, expose, export, and retain only what the workflow and authorized role require. Identity, role, permission, relationship, and data access remain separate decisions.
Parent communication controls
Family communication is designed around understandable context, urgency, digest direction, and school-controlled review rather than constant notification noise.
Retention and governance direction
Retention, export, access review, and deletion direction should be governed with districts and recorded where sensitive actions occur.
Advertising-use position
The product direction is not to use student or family data for advertising targeting. Formal privacy terms will be established with district agreements and legal review.
